**MY OBSERVATION COMMENTARY
Well-- in watching this movie, my first opinion is I wish they would have included the deleted scenes IN WITH the movie. When watching the movie, you have to watch the deleted scenes by their selves under the "Specail Features" option. But if you watched the movie enough (as much as I have) then it will be easy to place where everything should be. Next about deleted scenes-- they answered many questions, and solved some of the "trivia" that people like to put about "things wrong with movies". Such as the exhaust sticking out of Dennis' car when they arrive at Darnell's, also why in the gas station blow up scene-- the car that was originally up in the air "magically" appears on the ground when it blows up. First-- the exhaust in Dennis' car is symply answered by the scene before-- Dennis is following Arnie over to Darnells, and Christines exhaust falls off. Dennis picks it up and puts it in the back seat. The other scene, the car is originally in the air before the gas station blows up. But the deleted scene shows, that after CHristine pushes Buddy's car all the way into the garage-- something triggers the hoist which lowers the car, crushing one of the punks. Next we have added scenes that just make things cooler. I noticed little extras that helped the story along, added personality, and also made me laugh when I saw the added scene of Arnie bullying Dennis in the hospital. When Dennis asks Arnie "What makes you think he wont do it again?" And Arnie freakishly answers "He won't do it again". Dennis asks him "What's that supposed to mean?". Arnie gets in Dennis' face and scares him a little bit. Quite funny. Then Arnie see's Dennis and Leigh outside a burger stand-- great scene-- you must see it.
The commentary was great. It gave behind the scenes extras that you didn't know about, explained somethings, and was quite entertaining. Also the commentary called Christine fans "Cults"-- which I found rather amusing in a way. It also gives you an idea of what the cast thought was going to happen, and how suprised they were when it happend. Such as Alexandra (Leigh) suprised the movie has lasted over the 20 years and is still loved.
Overall: Great DVD, worth the money, worth the time of watching. And my thanks go out to the people who created it.
